The e-Learning system is designed for a medical device company to educate & train physicians & surgeons for product usage.

Designed using MS SQL Server 2005, .Net 2.0 and C#

A controlled access system that allows only authorized access to training material. Convenient content building tool allows the users to use multiple existing content formats and even submitting content URL’s. Multiple evaluation modes are offered by the system. The content publishers can also control access to other materials if qualification criteria for earlier evaluation are not met.

Background

The need was to build a LMS/LCMS for delivering online technology programs to physicians and surgeons.

The key drivers comprised of:

A site that could support multiple content formats, URL’s and companies own SCROM based content.
A system that had evaluation process in place to help track trainee’s progress. The system was required to provide the facility for attaching tests before, after or parallel to the reading modules.
The site was supposed to be scalable enough to accommodate the future enhancements.
The site was supposed to have customizable look and feel

Solution

The client collaborated with Cygnet Infotech to deliver rich web based LMS application on software as service model.

A privilege based super administrator dashboard was provided. Using this feature rich dashboard the admin could track & manage the activities/data of the Medical Device companies.
Content authoring section that allowed users to manage Training Modules, Upload content (including MAG10) or attach Hyperlink.
Comprehensive question tool that allowed the users to define questions in multiple formats. The tests could be attached before the content, parallel or after the content.
The system also provided the flexibility to customize whether the outcome of tests would affect the accessibility to the next section of the module.
CSS Styles implementation allowing the users to personalize their dashboards as per their specifications
Messaging and Alert
Comprehensive Reports allowing the admin to view business performance.
The system was compatible with multiple browsers
