Background

The client required efficient dynamic and comprehensible system that would provide useful both for opticians and other persons in optical industry.

As a practice management solution for opticians the system should provide features such as appointment scheduling, patient records, Rx details etc.

For optical industry the system should offer a efficient POS system that has features such Dispensing, Stock Control, POS and Reports etc.

Solution

The client collaborated with Cygnet Infotech to deliver a system that was implemented using centralized database.

  • The system provided an Electronic Appointment Diary that ensures up to date appointment schedules for opticians.
  • In built statistics displaying attended and unattended appointments.
  • The opticians could save Rx and diagnosis details ensuring information is at hand and customer support is at its best.
  • The software allowed dispensing of contact lens and spectacle lens.
  • The system offered an inbuilt CRM that maintained client/ patient and supplier database.
  • Efficient inventory management that allowed Item grouping as per the generic categories available in optician industry i.e. spectacles, frames etc.

  • The system offers POS system that supports various sales related transactions e.g. Generate PO from sales, after sale service, Normal purchase, KIV purchases etc..
