The CMS that could provide complete control over content and publishing. The need was for content approval process that implemented multiple stage approval from various people in hierarchy.

The system should implement Version control and provide a document vault that could save reusable content fragments.

Solution

Cygnet Infotech provided a CMS system that provided an extensible template driven framework utilizing MOSS 2007 that had following features:

• The solution used custom Page Layouts and style sheets to enforce consistent look and feel required for corporate branding.
• The system enabled content authors to quickly publish new content and update existing content without third-party assistance (graphic designers, developers etc).
• Workflow implementation to ensure that approved content is only published.
• Collaboration platform for content authors, editor, approver and publisher.
• Content versioning along with activity log maintaining track of content changes. Content rollback facility allowing rolling back to previous content as and when required.
• Document Vault that implemented single point of control for managing content of reusable fragments like header/footer and reflect changes across all pages throughout the website.
• Provided mapping between intranet SharePoint URL and public facing URL.
