Need for updating information quickly, having a structured work flow for content, organized display and ease of information access and a new look for a corporate website.

We started working on the project with the above brief. We designed the layout and information workflow in consultation with the client’s marketing team and choose to implement the solution in PHP using Joomla.

The Joomla environment provided numerous inbuilt tools that gave the content writers the power to create the kind of content they wanted without limitations. Workflow managed article submission allowed for multi-author, front- end article submissions with author bios, built-in tagging, unlimited nested categories and custom content fields and provided transparent insight into website workings and change management. The web based admin panel allowed anywhere anytime submission without the need to rebuild the complete site resulting in faster article submission.

In Addition tools such as translation module, URL rewriting, Live chat and Query forms ensured that the website reached wider target audience and had more relevant traffic as compared to its older site.

With months of planning, design, development and content creation that project got off the ground in record time resulting in more traffic and more business for the customer.

The company was on a look out for more organized website that provided ease of information access and a new look for a corporate website as opposed to their current website

Besides the aesthetic and management requirements the customer wanted that site was light and required minimum loading time, was compatible with multiple browsers and supported CSS for uniformity in look and feel.

Solution

After the specifications were clear we started working on the project. We designed the layout and information workflow in consultation with the client’s marketing team and choose to implement the solution in PHP using Joomla for its publishing capabilities, ease of usage and speed.

After approval from the client the system Powered by PHP and My SQL was implemented and delivered before record time.

The Content management solution provided easy to use content editor that allowed multi-author, front- end article submissions with author bios, built-in tagging, unlimited nested categories and custom content fields.
The whole article submission was workflow driven ensuring that the bottlenecks could be identified and quality content was always submitted. This User level control allowed the site administrator to keep tab on article writers and the content posted by them.
The application allowed the publishers to publish new pages without rebuilding the whole website thus allowing faster article submissions.
The website clearly defined navigation concept facilitating the visitors to reach the relevant information in less than three clicks.
Content search and site map allowed ease of navigation and quick content search.
The site allowed URL rewriting and Meta tag addition making it SEO friendly.
Using the multilingual feature of Joomla the site could be translated to multiple languages thus expanding the reach of customer to non English speaking regions.
The system maintained a log of all the changes done in the articles along with publisher details.
Custom modules were designed to add contact forms and quick query forms. Live chat was integrated on the site.
The site provided audio integration that automatically converted the article content to audio resulting in more visibility.
The system adhered to the web standards i.e. the site was designed using CSS and was in accordance to W3C standards and compatible with web browsers such as IE, Firefox etc.
