ASP .Net 3.0 JavaScript, MS SQL Server 2005
This E-Learning application is designed to deliver online learning for insurance programs a per IRDA norms. This self study model of e-learning has convenient UI, smart time tracking, and certification.
The client required an online training system for the Insurance sector; The Learning Management System was required to be designed on lines of a self paced LMS system that could train aspirants as Insurance Professionals.
The client required the basic LMS framework along with Time tracking System that ensured that the aspirants complete the predefined number of hours of training.
Since the system was to cater to insurance sector, Cygnet Infotech designed the solution as per the norms of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority(IRDA). The System incorporated following features:
- Course Catalogue tree allowing the users to select the chapter and relevant topic. The topic was visible in study area where in the user could view the content and attachments (Audio, video).
- Designed with a vision to provide a reading environment similar to manual system, the LMS provided a feature to mark bookmarks so that the student could continue from the point forward on his next visit.
- Besides the features of basic LMS the system provided an innovative tool that kept track of student timings. - In case of inactivity the student was logged off the system. Using the activity log the complete track of student timing was maintained.
- Tracking facility helped the system to keep track of total reading time spent by the student and issuance of certificate with least human intervention.(A certificate was automatically generated as soon as course was completed.)
- An easy to use Admin dashboard was provided using which the admin could manage the courses, registrations, course requests etc.
- The system generated real-time industry specific reports. Data downloads were also available in CSV, Excel formats
