PHP, WordPress, MYSQL Our client, committed to a dance and dance world, wanted to extend its services to dance companies to reach out with dance videos to millions at the same time bridging the popularity & revenue imbalance in this art form. Our guideline was an attractive site (doing justice to the dance as an art), an online video store, a blog, a partner area and a section where visitors can peep into the dance videos. On the Technical front, the client wanted the site to come up quickly, easy to search and play videos, a convenient to operate shopping cart that makes it easy to pay the video owner his due and integration with a payment gateway for accepting credit card payments. When the project was handed over to us our web-designers and programmers worked on the concept to design a new theme for this PHP and Word press website that provides a fresh new face to the website, is attractive and a crowd puller. The website alleviates the content management capabilities of word press to provide a platform where the dance video, documentaries etc are uploaded. The site allows the users to view videos online or download the videos for some fee that can be paid using the payment gateway integrated in the website. The site allows for complete user involvement by allowing the visitors to post their comments. The system provides automatic archival of content thus creating a library of old videos and dance documentaries. Keywords based search allows the users to search for videos by artist, dance form and similar other criteria. Custom modules such as newsletter and alert, blog integration, news management are also provided. Designed with search engine principles the website is well received by all dance enthusiasts and event managers alike.
