As Transportation Sector grew day by day the Client was finding it hard to manage day to day activity efficiently and profitably. The client required an automated system that was effortless to use and the system could easily maintain all the customer and supplier consignments and track information related to all stakeholders.

The key requirements were:

• Software should provide a secure interface that could make consignment tracking more efficient and transparent.
• The software should have facility for relocation managers to post tasks and select suppliers for the task.
• An interface for suppliers where they could accept or reject assignments and collaborate with consumers directly.

Solution

The client collaborated with Cygnet Infotech to design the system. Cygnet Infotech designed a solution in Dot Net technologies that provided following features:

• The system provided secure login enabled dashboard for consumers to track progress of their relocations. The system offered graphical interface for managing the Point-to-point control of global relocations using the Global Positioning System (GPS) feature.
• Suppliers were provided a dashboard that listed tasks and provided them with the liberty to accept or reject a user’s consignment. The suppliers could also track the consignment once it was in transit.
• The system allowed the Relocation managers to manage Suppliers effectively and assign them tasks. Business intelligence tools aided the management in budget planning and risk mitigation.
• The system automated the complete process right from efficient processing of expense payments to employee expense entry, approval & electronic receipts management.
• Web based reporting tool that helped generating Financial & Operational reports including customer specific reports.
