ASP .Net with C# and SQL Server 2008 When this large petrochemical company wanted to move from its legacy manual systems for its employee log book management to a simple to use and manage e-log book, they selected Cygnet. Cygnet’s brief was to design, develop and implement an e-logbook system, that is simple to use for first time information workers, secure, has simple and easy transition from existing manual systems, automate current manual reports and provide additional MIS for management to make informed decisions. We analyzed their requirements and designed a system that considering their current log book procedures and reports, simplified the work flow and added new functionalities to maximize the benefits of automation in the new system. The end result is an easy to use, secure system that has led to better information availability.
