PHP, WordPress, MYSQL When the business is translating creative vision into tangible visuals, creating a web presence for the company can be quite challenging. Our brief for design was "be simple yet creative". On technology, the client wanted a display of his whole library of templates and a buy option for the client, easy content management and navigation, article archives and search engine friendly functions. Considering the requirements, it wasn't difficult to choose Word Press & PHP as the development platform but the challenges were actually handled by the design team especially when you work with somebody who is an expert at converting creative vision into tangible visuals. After a few ups and down the design team exactly knew what the client wanted and was able to convert their thoughts into a tangible result. The rest was simpler and routine stuff which we quickly turned around to client satisfaction. Fortunately they knew exactly what they wanted and our design team delivered what they were exactly looking for.
BackgroundThe client a web designer and that too an expert in his field wanted a business website where he could sell his services and the concept of mockups to Web Developers or Executive Team members who wanted to convert the tangible ideas to visuals that could aid them in presentations and collaborations with team members or top management. The client wanted a platform to showcase his whole library of templates and provide an option to the visitors where they could purchase the merchandise using an easy to use shopping cart with a payment gateway for accepting credit card payments. The requirement also comprised of easy content management section that could allow the client to upload fresh templates, template categories and related information in matter of few clicks. The client wanted the site structure to be such that the navigation is easy and relevant information availability is fast. Article archives and search engine friendly functions was yet another of the requirements posted by the client. SolutionThe brief "be simple yet creative" provided a huge scope to showcase our designing and development experience. The brief was passed on to the graphics team to come up with a theme that gave a concept to the client's ideas. On the other hand our project management team decided to use Word Press and PHP as the platform to develop this platform for the web designing company. The platform alleviates the content management capabilities of word press to provide a platform where the users can browse through available templates or request for their very own custom template. Integration with Shopify facilitates the ecommerce transactions allowing the end users to directly pay for the selected services through credit cards using secure payment channel. Additionally the system also provides an opportunity to the customers to order the custom web designing services with the help of custom query forms. The end result is a neat website that has clean design and is easy to navigate. A web based admin panel allows anywhere anytime instant access facilitating easy content management. The system also ensures automatic archival of articles creating a library of templates. The system also maintains the publishing history records providing an insight about the author, date of submission and other article related details. Keywords based search allows the users to search for templates by categories, designer and other criteria. The end result is a search engine friendly website that delivers exactly what the client was looking for in terms of design and functionality. Technology Highlights
