Well, these are the buzz words that have been recently highlighted in the World Quality Report 2016-17. Thanks to CapGemini, Sogeti, and HPE that have jointly published the report by conducting survey and research of 1600 executives across 32 countries to share useful insights in QA and testing industry.
The report shares some interesting software testing trends and approaches that are about to set forth new paradigms for QA and software testing industry, which include an increase in digital transformation, adoption of Agile and DevOps, IOT and industrialization. Apart from these, the report also features some key findings and recommendations for QA professionals to help them excel in their area of expertise.

1. Invest in Intelligent Self-Learning
One of the key recommendations that came out in the report is investing in intelligent self-learning that requires QA professionals to interpret and analyze data to identify what to test and how to make testing more effective by bringing down costs. For indulging in intelligent self-learning, experts suggest using predictive analytics and artificial intelligence that helps foresee issues before they move to production and facilitate strategic identification of testing arena.

While the performance indicators for managerial/enterprise level should include release quality, test productivity, and test velocity, the minimum recommendations for application level performance indicator should have features delivered, defect status, features that have passed exit criteria and status of the product.
